About Authentication Profiles
Zscaler allows for granular control of the authentication timeout on a per-location basis. You can create and manage custom authentication profiles on this page. To learn more, see Configuring Custom Authentication Timeout Profiles.
This feature is in limited availability. To access this feature, contact your Zscaler Account team.
Authentication profiles provide the following benefits and enable you to:
- Control the authentication timeout in your organization on a per-location basis.
- Manage up to 8 profiles with a frequency range of 5 minutes to 999 days.
The Authentication Profiles page is unavailable if you're subscribed to the ZIdentity service. To learn more, see What Is ZIdentity?
About the Authentication Profiles Page
On the Authentication Profiles page (Administration > Authentication Settings > Authentication Profiles), you can do the following:
- Add a new authentication profile.
- Search for a previously configured authentication profile.
- View a list of all authentication profiles configured for your organization. For each profile, you can see the following details:
- Name: The name of the authentication profile.
- Authentication Frequency: The amount of time that passes before users are forced to authenticate. The minimum frequency is 5 minutes and the maximum is 999 days. Zscaler recommends a frequency of at least 30 minutes for the best user experience.
- Modify the table and its columns.
- Edit or delete an authentication profile.
- Go to the Default Settings page.
- Go to the Identity Providers page.
- Go to the Authentication Bridges page.
