Device States for Enrolled Devices

In Enrolled Devices, you can view a device’s state and the Zscaler Client Connector profile applied to it. Possible states are:

  • Registered: An enrolled device. This counts against the number of devices in the device limit.
  • Unregistered: Doesn't count against the number of devices limit, and indicates one of the following:
    • The user manually logged out of the app.
    • The admin successfully soft removed the device.
  • Removal Pending: Counts against the number of devices in the device limit, and indicates the admin soft removed the device. After the next keepalive connection, the status changes to Removed.
  • Removed: Doesn't count against the number of devices in the device limit, and indicates the admin force removed the device. When you remove a device, it remains in the Zscaler Client Connector Portal in the Removed state until it’s deleted using Device Cleanup.
  • Quarantined: Doesn't count against the number of devices in the device limit. The device can't be used to log in again, is not available for soft removal, and is eligible for hard deletion. The device can't be re-enrolled unless an admin moves it to the Removed state. To learn more, see Viewing Device Fingerprint for an Enrolled Device.

The maximum number of devices you can enroll under one username is 16. To learn more, see Removing a Device if the Number of Devices Limit is Reached.
