The ZDX Setup Wizard allows Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) admins to quickly enable the ZDX service and get started with ZDX applications. ZIA admins can also add the ZDX admin role to other existing ZIA admins or new admins.

If you already have ZIA admin and policy access, you'll be alerted within the ZIA notification panel that the wizard is available if ZDX is not already configured. If you invite new admins to manage ZDX, they'll be notified by email that they're eligible for the ZDX admin role.

Invited admins must contact the inviter for a login password.

Getting Started

On the Welcome screen, you can either click Start Quick Setup to immediately begin your setup, or choose one of these options:

• Watch a short video to learn more about ZDX.
• Click Invite an Admin to add other admins to manage ZDX.

To invite an existing admin:

1. Click Existing Admin.
2. Select the admin from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Send Invite.

To invite a new admin:

1. Click New Admin.
2. Enter the admin details and create a password.
3. Click Send Invite.

Click Start Quick Setup when you're ready to begin the ZDX setup.

Enabling ZDX

Enable ZDX access:

1. Enable ZDX for all user groups, or specify the user groups from the drop-down menu. By default, the checkbox for all users is selected.

Ensure you're using the displayed Zscaler Client Connector version that's compatible with ZDX. If necessary, upgrade your Zscaler Client Connector version. To learn more, see Feature Version Compatibilities.

2. Click Next.

Selecting Applications

Select the ZDX applications:

1. You can select up to 3 predefined applications or add a custom application:
   • For predefined applications: Select the checkbox next to each application you'd like to monitor. If applicable, add the tenant ID for the application.

   • For custom applications:
   1. Click Add Custom Application.
   2. Enter the application name and URL within the dialog window.
   3. Click Add.

Two probes are supported for each predefined application or custom application.

2. Click Next.

Reviewing the Setup

Review your selections:

1. Click the Edit icon if you need to change your selections.
2. After confirming your selections, click Activate.
