About Asset Inventory

The Asset Inventory page (ZCSPM Admin Portal > Asset Inventory) provides an inventory of all the assets deployed on your cloud infrastructure i.e., assets not protected by ZCSPM and assets that are protected by ZCSPM with default security policies. Asset inventory offers complete visibility across your cloud deployment, so you can easily identify and fix issues.

  • The Asset Inventory page will display all available assets in your Microsoft Azure subscriptions. Some asset categories will not be displayed for AWS and GCP due to API limitations.
  • Deallocated and stopped virtual machines or EC2 instances will be excluded from being evaluated by ZCSPM.

On the Asset Inventory page, you can do the following:

  1. Use the Cloud Service and Account drop-down menus to specify:
    • A single cloud account.
    • All cloud accounts of a cloud service provider type.
    • All cloud accounts in your cloud deployment.
  2. Filter assets by the following parameters:
    • Resource Type
    • Resource Status
    • Region
    • Risk Level
    • Tags
  3. Exclude assets from being evaluated by ZCSPM. To learn more, see Managing Assets.
  4. Save the filter as a view:
    1. Click Manage View, then enter the View Name.
    2. Click Save.
  5. View the resource type, status, region, number of tags, whether they are protected by ZCSPM or not, number of passed security policies, number of assets, and their risk level.
  6. Expand the resource type to view all assets under it.
