Uninstalling or Deleting Endpoint Agents
This article provides instructions for uninstalling or deleting endpoint agents.
Uninstalling Endpoint Agents
To uninstall endpoint agents:
- Go to Settings > Endpoint Settings > Agents.
Under the Actions column, click the Uninstall icon for the endpoint agent you want to uninstall.
- In the Uninstall Agent window, choose an option:
- Uninstall: The agent removes the policies from the endpoint, and then it uninstalls itself. The agent tries to remove the policies for upto three days before uninstalling itself.
Force Uninstall: The agent uninstalls the policies from the endpoint on a best-effort basis, and then it uninstalls itself.
A confirmation message appears indicating that the endpoint agent is uninstalled on the specific system and the agent's entry is deleted from the Agents table.
Deleting an Endpoint Agent
To delete an endpoint agent:
- Go to Settings > Endpoint Settings > Agents.
Under the Actions column, click the Delete icon for the endpoint agent that you want to delete.
In the confirmation window, click OK.
A confirmation message appears indicating that the endpoint agent is deleted successfully.
Endpoint agents cannot be deleted if their Last Seen value is less than 7 days.
