Understanding Votiro Integration for Isolation

When your organization is using Zscaler Isolation, any file downloaded or uploaded to the isolation container is inline scanned to ensure that the file does not contain malware. The integration of Votiro and Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) adds additional coverage for files accessed while in isolation by providing further inline scanning for malicious content. To learn more, see About Partner Integrations.

Votiro allows supported files downloaded or uploaded to or from internet destinations to be sanitized by their Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) services. These CDR services consume the original file being transacted, and it returns to the user a file in the same format as the original file, but sanitized. This ensures that either the active content is stripped out or replaced with a sanitized model, ensuring the file itself cannot be used for malicious purposes.

If you are an Isolation admin with access to the Votiro Secure File Gateway for Web Downloads and Uploads, you can use Votiro as part of your ZIA isolation profile configuration. To learn more, see Creating Isolation Profiles for ZIA.

For the complete procedure on how to configure Votiro and Isolation for ZIA, see the Zscaler and Votiro Deployment Guide.
