After you receive the Zscaler Branch Connector hardware, you can mount the Zero Trust SD-WAN Device as follows:

• The Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 400: Rack posts using the rack mount kit.
• The Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 600: Rack posts using the rack mount kit.
• The Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 800:
  • Rack posts using the rack mount kit.
  • The wall, using the wall mount kit. Only available upon request.

Mounting on a rack or wall optimizes your workspace and makes your Zero Trust SD-WAN Device more accessible for installation and deployment. It protects your device from any external damage and helps streamline the organization of your cables and power adapters. Additionally, rack or wall mounting helps ensure proper airflow, preventing overheating and dust accumulation caused by restricted ventilation. Proper airflow also maintains a cleaner environment, prolonging the lifespan of the device.

    The rack mount kit contains the following items:

    • 1 rack mount bracket
    • 5 cable ties
    • 3 A screws for attaching the bracket to the device
    • 4 B screws for mounting the device on the rack

  • Rack Mount the Device

    To rack mount your Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 400:

    1. Place the device in the middle of the rack mounting bracket with the device's rear panel facing away from the bracket.

    

    2. On the back of the mount, secure the device to the rack mounting bracket with three screws.

    

    3. Turn over the device and rack mounting bracket and place the power adapter next to the device, in the adapter holder section.
    4. Secure the power adapter with two zip ties. Secure the cables with one zip tie.

    

    5. Attach the power adapter connector to the device's rear panel.

    

    6. Hold the device and lift carefully to insert the device into the rack. Zscaler recommends installing a shelf in the rack to support the device. Attach the brackets to the rail rack using rack mounting screws.

  • Rack Mount the Device

    To rack mount the Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 600:

    1. Align one ear bracket to the screw holes on the side panel of the device and attach the bracket using three A screws.

    

    2. Secure the other ear bracket to the other side of the device.

    

    3. Place the adapter in the adapter holder. Then position the adapter bracket so that the holes align with the two B screws.

    

    4. Attach the adapter holder to the left side of the device and secure it with two A screws.

    

    5. Secure the adapter's cable onto the adapter holder.

    

    6. Zscaler recommends installing a shelf in the rack to support the device. Attach the brackets to the rail rack using rack mounting screws. Hold the device and lift carefully to insert the device into the rack.

    • 2 rack mount brackets
    • 6 A screws for attaching the brackets to the device
    • 4 B screws for mounting the device on the rack

  • Wall Mount the Device

    To wall mount the Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 800:

    1. Turn the device over and attach the wall brackets onto the bottom side of the device. Secure with the four provided screws.

    

    2. On the wall, measure the exact place where you want to mount the device. Drill four holes that align with the four mounting holes on the brackets.

    

    3. Insert the four white wall plugs into the holes you drilled into the wall.
    4. Insert the long screws into the wall plugs.

    

    5. Align the four screw holes on the device's wall brackets with the four long screws installed on the wall.

    

    6. Secure the four screws in the bracket holes and push the device downward to lock the screws into position.

    To rack mount the Zero Trust SD-WAN Device 800:
