About VDI Groups
In the Zscaler Cloud & Branch Connector Admin Portal, the VDI Groups page displays a list of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) device groups that are defined based on criteria entered by an admin. The VDI devices that have Zscaler Client Connector for VDI deployed are categorized under groups based on the match criteria.
VDI groups provide the following benefits and enable you to:
- Apply policies to a group of VDI devices that are grouped using user-defined criteria.
- View the details of the VDI devices contained in a VDI group for information and troubleshooting.
About the VDI Groups Page
On the VDI Groups page (Administration > VDI Device Management), you can do the following:
- Add a VDI group.
- View a list of all VDI groups. For each VDI group, you can view:
- Name: The name of the group.
- Description: The description of the group.
- Platform: The platform of the group.
- Servers: The servers of the group.
- Hostname Prefix: The hostname prefix used to group the VDI devices.
- Locations: The Zscaler location associated with the VDI group.
- VDI Forwarding Profile: The forwarding profile that is applied to the VDI group.
- OS Type: The type of operating system (OS) of the VDI devices associated with the group.
- OS Version: The version of the OS that the group is running on.
- Type: The type of group.
- Last Modified By: The last admin to modify the group.
- Last Modified On: The date and time the group was last modified.
- Edit a VDI group.
- Delete a VDI group.
- Modify the table and its columns.
- Search for a VDI group.
- Go to the VDI Devices page.
