Adding a Custom Role
You can add custom roles and configure permissions for users to access or manage tasks in specific modules or global modules. A single role is assigned to a group, so all users in that group have the same role and permissions.
Adding a Custom Role
To add a custom role:
- Go to Administration > Authentication & Authorization > User Access Management.
- In the Authentication & Authorization page, select the Roles tab.
Click Add Role.
- In the Add Role window:
- Role Name: Enter a unique name for the custom role.
Permissions: Assign any of the following permissions:
Access: Select the checkbox for tasks that users can perform in each module or global module.
- View Only: Select to provide view only access to specific modules or global modules.
- None: Select to restrict users from accessing or viewing specific modules or global modules.
To view or access the Scan Settings module, assign Access or View Only permissions for Cloud Accounts along with Scan Settings permissions. See image.
Click Save.
The custom role is created and displayed on the Roles page.
