ZDX Module Release Summary (2024)
This article provides a summary of all new features and enhancements released per operating system (OS) for the Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) Module in the Zscaler Client Connector app.

- Updates third-party libraries to the latest versions.
- Adds support for Health Metrics collection on devices to allow for diagnostics and to proactively identify issues.
- Adds handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for new features.
- Fixes an issue regarding a Zscaler Client Connector call to the ZDX Cloud Path in Zscaler Tunnel (Z-Tunnel) 1.0.
- Fixes a display issue where the Cloud Path response for a bandwidth test showed a misleading hop IP address.
- Fixes an issue where a bandwidth test was unsuccessful when passing through a GRE tunnel.
- Addresses an issue where a traceroute is unsuccessful when the Zscaler Client Connector Portal is configured to drop IPv6 packets.
- Fixes an issue where the Cloud Path to the target on the private network did not pass through the third-party internal proxy.

- Fixes an issue where a bandwidth test showed a 0.0.0.0 IP address with a 100% packet loss.
- Fixes an issue where the Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) Self Service Dashboard sent notifications although the Enable Self Service and Send Push Notifications via Zscaler Client Connector settings in ZDX were disabled.

- Adds checks to escape any non-UTF-8 characters from system-collected information.
- Fixes a database issue related to a Zscaler Client Connector version.
- Fixes an issue where Software Inventory data collection was affected by the addition of Software Patch Inventory.
- Fixes an issue where ZDX sometimes remained in a disconnected state.
- Fixes an issue where Device Inventory data was not always cleared after the threshold date.
- Fixes an issue where traceroute did not succeed in certain scenarios.
- Fixes an issue where ZDX encountered an error while running a bandwidth test in some scenarios.
- Fixes an issue to show the correct message when the App Connector is unavailable.
- Fixes an issue where the chosen port affected the traceroute in the Cloud Path.
- Fixes an issue in the Cloud Path where an incorrect name appeared for Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Private Service Edge.
- Fixes an issue where ZDX could not stop the uploader.
- Fixes an issue when running remote packet capture in a Diagnostics session.
- Resolves an issue where ZDX experienced an error during shutdown in specific scenarios.
- Fixes an issue where a bandwidth test failed when started in conjunction with remote packet capture.

- Fixes an issue where the Cloud Path to an application with a Private IP address within a VPN environment does not go through the External Proxy.
- Improves CPU utilization of the ZDX service.
- Enhances ZDX database security with encryption to sensitive data.
- Updates to the latest Nmap Project's packet capture (NPCAP), which addresses issues in relation to the blue screen occurrences when utilizing Bluetooth tethering.
- Improves remote Packet Capture (PCAP) to incorporate LightWeight Filter (LWF) capture capability.

- Fixes an issue where an incorrect error was reported for DNS failure.
- Fixes an issue where the targeted hop appeared after the egress when there were unknown hops present.
- Fixes an issue where ZDX is not operational during modern standby in certain scenarios.
- Fixes an issue with Cloud Path in No Default Route (NDR) environment.
