ZDX Module Release Summary (2021)
This article provides a summary of all new features and enhancements released per operating system (OS) for the Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) Module in the Zscaler Client Connector app.
The ZDX Module app versions for Windows listed below were deployed on the following dates.
December 15, 2021
- Release Available: ZDX Module 3.1 for Windows
ZDX Module 3.1 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.7.1.
- Adds resiliency with failover to a secondary Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) server in some scenarios.
- Improves data upload efficiencies to the ZDX server.
- Limits up to 30 active monitors per device.
- Adds improvements to reduce the CPU footprint of the ZDX module.

- Release Available: ZDX Module 3.0.0.59 for Windows
ZDX Module 3.0.0.59 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.6.1.20, 3.6.1.
- Fixes an issue where multiple Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) requests caused the SOHO gateway to stop responding to the ARP requests for some time, resulting in an Internet connectivity break.

ZDX Module 3.0 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.6.1.
- Supports increasing the limit of traceroute probes to more than 30.
- Fixes an issue where the web load failed to stop after a device went into sleep mode.
- Fixes an issue where a Hop count restriction did not accommodate a traceroute to broker path with both Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) enabled.
- Fixes an issue where an application’s URL delimiter caused inconsistencies in the ZDX Admin Portal UI.
- Fixes an issue where data was not available for the cloud path when using the DNS name for the Global VIP.
- Fixes an issue where the Device Health stats for Zscaler Network Adapter were displaying an inconsistent maximum bandwidth.
- Fixes an issue where the SME signature was not recognized in the traceroute path.
- Fixes an issue where Zscaler Client Connector was not using the BGP port for traceroute to egress.
- Fixes an MTR issue by using BGP port 179 in the reverse egress path from the SME.
- Fixes an issue where IP addresses were duplicated in the cloud path in some scenarios.
- Fixes a UDP port issue to ensure successful UDP traffic.

- Fixes an issue where a Windows 10 language pack caused partial display of device metrics for Device Health status.
- Fixes an issue where the Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) cloud path was showing an incorrect location for the user.
- Fixes an issue where the ZDX probes were doing a direct connection instead of going through the Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) tunnels in certain exclude route scenarios.

ZDX Module 2.3 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.4.1.4, 3.4.0.124, 3.4.
- Includes Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) error code responses in Zscaler Client Connector logs for troubleshooting purposes.
- Supports both TCP and Adaptive probe types for traceroute.
- Supports reusing URL connection when requests are redirected to the same domain.
- Supports use of cached protocol for traceroute to the egress.
- Supports adaptive traceroute to the egress.
- Supports increasing the packet count to 20 for traceroute probes.

ZDX Module 2.2 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.4.
- Changes the ZDX page fetch probe metrics calculations by excluding discovery time from DNS resolution but including time only for system proxy PAC parsing.
- Supports traceroute to the Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) broker.
March 10, 2021

ZDX Module 2.1.0.10 Enhancements and Fixes
Compatible with the following Zscaler Client Connector versions for Windows: 3.2.1.1.
- Added system notifications for power state changes and system resume/suspend.
- Fixes an issue where users received an authentication server error for Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) after a network change.
- Fixes a Location API issue that caused an error message to display.
