Using User and Device Search

You can use the User/Device Search page to help find Digital Experience Monitoring users and devices quickly in the Admin Portal.

To search for users or devices:

  1. Go to Analytics > Digital Experience Management > User/Device Search.
  2. Select Users or Devices.
  3. Enter your search text:
    • Users: Enter an email or name to search for a user.
    • Devices: Enter a device hostname to search for a device.
  4. By default, the 10 most relevant results are displayed. Click the Load More button to display 10 more results consecutively until complete.
  5. Click View All Search Results for.

    A list is displayed of all search results for the text you entered.

  6. Click the relevant user name or email to view the details page. To learn more, see Evaluating User Details.

If a user profile was recently deleted, that profile is displayed in the search results. Clicking the deleted user profile and accessing the user page also indicates that the profile is deleted. For data retention limits on user information, see Ranges and Limitations.

The User/Devices Search page keeps a history of the last 5 users whose details you viewed. If a deleted user profile was part of the search history, that is also indicated.
